The mountains have already been graced with their first snowfalls, meaning fall is in full swing, winter is on its way and it is time for massive savings on all ski and snowboard necessities. Whistler Blackcomb’s annual Turkey Sale boasts some of the best pre-season deals at up to 50 per cent off of brand names such as Smith, Burton, Columbia, Salomon, Volkl, Rossignol, The North Face and Westbeach. The sale will be held over four days from Friday, October 9 to Monday, October 12 in the Upper Village Daylodge at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. Each day the selection of goods is replenished so winter enthusiasts are encouraged to browse more than once.
“This is a huge weekend in Whistler and it’s always fun to see everyone getting stoked for winter as they find the gear they want at unbeatable prices,” says Josh Buchanan, Retail Merchandise General Manager at Whistler Blackcomb. “The Turkey Sale offers savings for the entire family and for every level of skier or rider. This will be our largest sale ever so everyone is bound to find what they’re looking for.”
Of course, as the name states there will also be turkeys for sale. Shoppers can prepare not only for ski season, but for Thanksgiving dinner by purchasing a frozen turkey for $15 on Saturday, October 10 starting at 9am, until quantities last. All proceeds from the birds will go to the Whistler Food Bank.
