Quebec City is Canada’s favourite destination for romance over the holidays according to MissTravel.com, a destination-dating website.

The site’s “12 Trips for Christmas” list analyzes the most popular travel destinations for the holidays based on the preferences of its Canadian members.

“Christmastime in Quebec is the perfect backdrop for holiday romance,” says Brandon Wade, Founder & CEO of MissTravel.com. “With snow-dusted cobblestone streets and illuminated Christmas decorations on every window and door, travelers will feel like they just stepped into a fairy tale.”

Quebec beat out both Montreal and Niagara Falls on the list, and came first in line ahead of New York and Cancun. The Quebec City region is home to three major ski resorts: Stoneham, Mont-Sainte-Anne and Le Massif.
