BC’s Red Mountain has been named the Most Improved North American Resort by the World Snow Awards. The mountain near Nelson, BC was also named the World Snow Awards’ Best Upcoming Resort.
The World Snow Awards were announced on November 1, 2013, in London, England. Red Mountain was the only Canadian resort to be named in these awards, and the only resort to win more than one title.

Most improved European resort: Val Thorens, France
Most improved family resort: Keystone, USA
Environmental award for ecological developments: Avoriaz, France
Canada’s Red Mountain Resort will open for the season on December 14, 2013.
