Spring may have been a long time coming, but one of the sure signs of its arrival is the opening of golf courses throughout the Ontario’s Collingwood region. Monterra Golf, at Blue Mountain Resort, scheduled its opening day for May 9, 2014 and is pleased to welcome golfers back to the links with all 18 holes open for play.
Due to the high volume of precipitation seen over the winter months, Monterra has made some adjustments to the course. For its first weekend of play, a temporary green has been installed on hole three allowing time for the permanent green to recover from the spring thaw. Additionally, the course will be played via cart path only until further notice.
Monterra Golf is open from 8:30am to 6:00pm, with a per player price of $69. That rate includes the use of Monterra’s GPS-enhanced golf carts. For more information or to reserve a tee time, please visit https://www.bluemountain.ca/golf or phone 705-445-0231.
The opening of Monterra compliments the resort-wide shift to green season activities. Also open on Saturday May 9th and Sunday May 10th is the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster and the Woodlot Low Ropes. With the remaining summer attractions scheduled to open on Victoria Day Weekend, it won’t be long until the green season is in full swing at Blue Mountain Resort.
