Sunshine Village’s 2014 Spring Concert Series is in full swing—a five-week long outdoor music event.
The resort’s popular outdoor concerts, which will see five local bands entertain on-mountain guests, has been taking place every weekend from April 26th through May 17th and 18th. This year’s artists include this weekend’s Funk and Disorderly, who bring their infectious mix of eclectic funk and reggae infused groves.
“Sunshine’s Spring Concert Series is such a unique opportunity to indulge in Canada’s best spring skiing while taking in an exciting musical lineup,” begins Dave Riley, Chief Operating Officer, Sunshine Village Ski Resort. “This year’s event will feature a wide variety of musical genres, providing entertainment for every guest.”
The live shows can be enjoyed by anyone with a lift ticket or season’s pass. Non-skiers may also purchase a gondola-only ticket to reach the concert area, located high in the Canadian Rockies.
The Sunshine Village outdoor stage is located in the heart of the village next to historical Mad Trapper’s Saloon and the Molson Coors Beer Gardens, new Patron Igloo and the Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Oyster Bar.
Wide open until May 19th, Sunshine’s Spring Concert Series includes:
May 10 – 11 – Funk & Disorderly
May 17 – 18 – Shred Kelly
May 18 and 18 – New Moon
Sunshine Village, close to the town of Banff, provides skiers and boarders with 12-lifts including seven modern high speed quad chairs, the most in the Canadian Rockies, and one of the world’s fastest 8 passenger gondolas. Stay slope-side in the Rockies only “ski-in ski-out” hotel and ski or ride 3,300 acres and three mountains in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia along the Continental Divide during Canada’s longest season from November to late May.
