The snow has been falling all week at Lake Louise with another 25cm of fresh snow falling overnight December 17, giving the Alberta ski area a healthy metre of snow base on most groomed runs.
Thanks to windblown snow even deeper pockets can be found, especially in the back bowls. And as of press time, it’s still snowing!
In addition to the great snowfall all lifts are open, with more than 80 runs available for skiers and snowboarders to explore. Additional runs will be opening as the snow continues to fall.
Lake Louise is also announcing it will be hosting its first FIS World Cup Boarder Cross this Saturday, December 21, along with the opening of the “Sunny Tube Park” for the season.
