A newspaper columnist in Rossland, BC, has named Senator Nancy (Tiger) Greene “the most famous Rosslander ever.”
In her history column this week in The Boundary Sentinel, Allyson Kenning has written a sweet ode to the Olympic and World Cup medallist—perhaps Canada’s best known ski racer of all time:

The article covers Greene’s career, including her astounding Olympic win at Grenoble, France in 1968, her work helping start both Whistler and Sun Peaks, and her entry into the Order of Canada.
