Kicking off their 2012/2013 season two days ahead of schedule Big White Ski Resort was the place to be today. Eagar skiers and snowboarders lined up as early as 7:00am to get the coveted first chair up. Quinn Best, Jeff Willard, Craig Thomason and Alex Acorn all earned bragging rights for the season as they came decked out with lawn chairs just as the sun was coming up, all in the name of fresh tracks.
Opening with three chairs – The Ridge Rocket Express, The Plaza Chair, and Lara’s Gondola and 12 runs, there is terrain for every level of snow sport enthusiast. With reduced terrain came reduced rates with Big White offering an incredible 50% off single day lift tickets, equipment rentals, and private and group lessons. This amazing deal will carry over for the second day of operations, Friday November 30th.
The resort is gearing up for the Season Grand Opening on Saturday December 1st and with more snow in the forecast additional lifts and terrain are expected to open. Also expected to open this weekend are the Mega Snowcoaster Tube Park and Skating Rink.
