More than 500 acres of new and challenging ski terrain will be added to the Sun Peaks ski boundary area by 2015.
The new terrain will be located in both the West Morrisey and Gil’s sections of the British Columbia ski area.
Gil’s, popular for backcountry skiing located at the top of Tod Mountain, will see its vertical doubled, made possible with the addition of a lower ski-out road that will lead back to the main ski area.
West Morrisey will see new runs being created utilizing the same aspect as the popular Static Cling and Agitator ski runs, allowing guests to ski back to the Morrisey Express Chairlift or connect to the Fairways Ski Back to access that residential section of the village.
Already the second largest in British Columbia, Sun Peaks will now be the second largest in Canada at more than 4,200 acres of in-bound ski terrain.
