Lake Louise This Weekend: Heavy Metal Rail Jam

Approximately $2000 in cash and prizes goes to the winners of the Heavy Metal Rail Jam at Lake Louise Saturday, December 17. Everyone is welcome to enter (open to skiers and snowboarders) in one of three categories: Juniors, Seniors (16+) and Women.

The rail jam will take place in the early-season terrain park on lowest Wiwaxy and there will be one intermediate line and one advanced line. The jam format means competitors will have plenty of time to session each feature and master/show off their tricks. And, it’s a fun day for spectators; all guests on the mountain are invited to swing by to check out the action.

The Lake Louise Terrain Park Crew has been working hard over the past couple months building and refurbishing Lake Louise’s rail inventory.The early season park build is ahead of schedule and with all the snow that’s been falling, it’s looking like it will be a quick transition over to the ski area’s Showtime Terrain Park. 

Spots in the Heavy Metal Rail Jam are limited. Pre-registration is  recommended. Register online at www.skilouise.com or on event day in the Sitzmark Lounge, 8:30am - 10:00am.
